A Zadie Jumpsuit for Every Season

The #zadiejumpsuit by Paper Theory Patterns, is officially my most made pattern. I generally don't sew many of the same patterns over and over again, but I have now made 4 Zadie's, one for every season. One of the reasons I love this pattern so much, is it's such a versatile pattern. It can be made in a number of different fabrics, and with different sleeve options and leg lengths, which is why it's a good pattern for all seasons.

Spring:

For my Spring look, I chose a bright lemon print fabric from Hobby Lobby. If you are wanting so make a Zadie Jumpsuit for the Spring (or any other pattern for that matter) some great fabric choices for Spring are: Cotton/Cotton Blends, Linen, Rayon, Silk, Chambray, Voile, Crepe, etc. Choose a fun print or color and make sure the fabric is breathable and has some good movement to it.

I accessorized my Spring look with some sandals and some fun earrings, but you could pair it with some flats, a bag or fanny pack, some sunglasses, or a light jacket.

Summer:

For Summer outfits, you want to choose fabric that is lightweight and breathable. I used a modal rayon from JoAnn. Other good fabrics for the summer include; Cotton/Cotton Blends, Linen, Rayon, Challis, Chambray, Seersucker, Poplin, etc.

Ways to accessorize your Summer look; flip-flops or sandals, a floppy straw hat, a purse or fanny pack, a headscarf, a straw bag, sunglasses, and a headband or fun belt.

Fall:

With Fall being a transitional season, I like to keep my Fall makes somewhat on the cooler side, since they can easily be made warmer with all of the fun Fall accessories like scarves and jackets. I used this Cheetah Print crepe and this Black Crepe from JoAnn for my look, but some other great fabrics for Fall are: Flannel, Wool, Corduroy, Denim, Rayon, Cotton, Leather, Cashmere, and Suede.

Fall accessories include: Scarves, Boots, Jackets, Cardigans, Gloves, Bags, Headbands, and Jewelry.

Winter:

For my Winter Look, I used a brushed cotton fabric similar to this one from JoAnn, but in a soft neutral tan color. It almost look like a soft pink in some lighting. It is soft and warm and feels like flannel, and is a nice medium weight. For Winter fabrics, you want to choose things that will keep you warm. Fabrics such as; Cotton, Wool, Corduroy, Velvet, Suede, Velour, Flannel, Cashmere, or Tweed.

Winter Accessories include: Scarves, Coats, Gloves, Boots, Jackets, Beanies, Ear Muffs, Turtlenecks and other layering pieces.
