The Wilder Gown by Friday Pattern Company

One of my favorite things about the Wilder Gown pattern from Friday Pattern Company, is how easy and versatile it is!

It's a loose and flowy style, so there aren't any fitting issues, and it's a very easy sewing project, so it's perfect for beginners. I love seeing everyone's version of this dress on Instagram!

It can totally take on a different look and style depending on the fabric that you choose. I love the light and flowy rayon look, but I also love this in a linen, where it takes on a boxier, sturdier look.

I chose to make it as a top, purely because I didn't have enough fabric to make the dress, but I fully intend to make the dress version soon!

The fabric is from Hobby Lobby and it was on sale for $2 a yard so I bought the rest of the bolt, which only ended up being about 2 yards. I would have bought 5-6 yards if they had it, I think this fabric is beautiful!

I ended up making the tie out of a blush pink lace fabric that I had lying around. I think the blush brings out the blush background of the fabric really well.

Another great thing about this pattern is that Friday Pattern Company gives 5% of their proceeds back to charity, so when you buy this pattern you can feel good about supporting a small indie pattern company and supporting a charity at the same time! :)

Happy Sewing!!
